7th – 9th April Working party weekend Hertford Club Site, Mangrove Road, Hertford, SG13 8AL Map Ref 166/334113 Each year we like to do a working party at Hertford Club Site. We tend to use this site for many meets throughout the year and always get a good price. We feel it is only natural that we help keep it looking nice.
More than just pulling weeds and painting fences (don’t worry there is plenty of that!) The working party is a great time to socialise with people you may never talk to at a normal meet.
Please bring old clothes, paint brushes and gardening equipment with you as there are only limited tools supplied. We will be given a list of jobs to complete when we arrive. (we do not set the jobs the site does!)
You may notice that there are no fees listed for this meet, that is because the site allows us to camp for free in exchange for a bit of elbow grease. This does mean that anyone camping with the DA will be expected to pull their weight. If this is a problem for any reason, please contact Liz Collins.
Over the last few years it has become a tradition to hold a soup competition for Saturday lunch, which is open to every one. The D.A. will provide the french bread for the soup.We also hold a fish and chip supper Saturday evening for those wishing to order we order on site.
